First of Its Kind in the Arab World: The Launch of the International Kids Fashion Week in Abu Dhabi on January 18, 2026
On January 18, 2026, the first-ever International Kids Fashion Show will be launched, coinciding with the Emirati Children’s Day, in an exceptional event taking place for the very first time in the Arab world.
This initiative aims to highlight the importance of childhood and creativity, under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak (“Mother of the Nation”), Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, Chairwoman of the Women’s Empowerment Committee, and President of the Arab Women Organization. This reflects the keen interest of Her Highness and the government in issues concerning children and motherhood in the region.
The concept of the fashion week was initiated by international designer Mona Al Mansouri and visual artist Maryam Eid Al Mansouri, who were determined to make the event a platform for cultural and social exchange among children of different nationalities. Around 45 children will participate in the show, representing countries such as Russia, Italy, Spain, and Thailand, under the supervision of professionals.
The event will feature fashion shows by international designers, special activities, and carefully curated surprises, designed to meet world-class standards and reflect the UAE’s reputation as a hub for innovative events.
The International Kids Fashion Week is expected to add a new dimension to the cultural and artistic scene in the region, as it blends creativity with childhood and opens the door to new experiences that promote human and cultural connection through fashion and art.
